Lesson 41: First Steps Into Concept Art [Copying vs Creating]

The first step in Concept art is looking at reference photos in a different way. Not to copy it pixel by pixel but to be inspired by it and draw from it in different position, size, orientation, scale and so on. This is a preview of what's coming next in chapter 2 and 3. A connection between chapter 1 and later chapters. Using Perspective drawing to change and modify what we see in a reference photo. We finally start turning those boxes we kept drawing into something more interesting.
